What I ate in Taiwan

Europe 2019

My mom and brother and I did a little Euro trip in 2019. This was right about when COVID was born, but we didn’t know about it yet. Started things off in Paris.

Let’s start off with a compilation of all the tour guides we interacted with.

Best part of the Paris portion of the trip was the food tour.

This guy asked me to take a picture of him in front of the Arc de Triomphe.

This is Varenna, where we stayed, one of three main towns around Lake Como.

We were the only guests on the first boat we took in the morning.

Clouds started to part.

At the end of this night I broke the key by jamming it too hard into the lock. Jordan and mom were not amused. Luckily the Airbnb host came within ten minutes to get us back in.

Didn’t bring gloves.

Best food we had in Florence was in this unassuming spot.

This photo was taken by the waiter at a restaurant called Auditore (named after Ezio Auditore, the protagonist of Assassins Creed II which takes place in Florence). The waiter remarked that it was “so American” that my mom wanted a picture of us sitting at the table.

In Rome, we stayed in Trastevere.

Not sure why but there were a lot more heavily armed Italian soldiers than I was expecting.
